James Schmitt, President/Principal
With over 30 years experience, Mr. James W. Schmitt, P.G., Principal of Schmitt Technical Services, LLC started humbly as a construction materials technician, working his way up the technical and managerial ranks of mining companies, concrete producers, asphalt producers, consulting firms and construction trade organizations through hard work, openness to change, eagerness to continually learn, willingness to take on challenges and the innate ability to get along and communicate with a broad range of people, from CEOs to scientists to construction laborers.
Jim is a degreed geologist (B.S and M.S.) with formal business education and unique work experience that have allowed him to develop practical expertise that few in the construction materials business possess. Jim understands industry management's needs because he was manager in industry, responsible for profit and loss, meeting deadlines, operating efficiently with integrity, maintaining high quality products and services with an emphasis on the customer, planning for the future and training and mentoring staff.
